"Education is a human right with immense power to transform. On its foundation rest the cornerstones of freedom, democracy and sustainable human development." - Kofi Annan
To emphasize on the role of inclusive education to make way for the sustainable development goals, a 2-day conference was recently organised at the India International Centre by Vision Divyang Foundation, supported by UNESCO and Rehabilitation Council of India. It was a matter of sheer nobility that Ms. Nishi Singh, Director - Arts Vintaage (an initiative by NGO Sparsh) was also invited as a Guest of Honour at this seminar. Avidly participating in the event and expressing her support to the UNESCO's sustainable development concerns, she was bestowed with the prestigious UN Sustainable Development Goals Achievers Award. The intensive conference witnessed power-packed speeches on the theme by several eminent speakers including Ms. Huma Masood from UNESCO, Ms. Dolly Chakravarty from JS Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Professor CL Kundu.
The entire family of Sparsh expresses heartfelt gratitude to UNESCO and all the organizers!
